Thread: Storm 9550 in stock at Best Buy on October 25th?

Several sites are reporting that the beloved Storm replacement, the 9550 Storm 2 will be in stock at Best Buy on October 25th, as you can see in the picture above. One thing we should mention is while the "In Stock Date" shows the 25th, the "Street Date" is left blank. Hopefully this is simply Best Buy's way of keeping us in the dark now that they have realized the information is on the web. Either way, October is shaping up to possibly be one of the best BlackBerry months in history!

I still say November, but that's just me...

I am going to say this date is unrealistic and it has not even gone into mass production. Hardware is finalized but not software so I just don't see this being released on 9/25. I am think 2nd week in November, just my guess though.

Not sure, but seeing how well 5.0 leak has worked on my storm (yes I also know the hybrid one is a hybrid) that the latter builds there internally are using have to be least 95% by now. They got most of there touch screen stuff done in the 4.7.0.xxx builds, most of glitches in 5.0 appeared to be minor apps that were just not ready and 3rd party app support that would just need updating. I could actually see the 25th date being true, but requiring a OTA update or instore upgrade for sure. that's just my 2cents, this is verizon so it can be october 25th or even november 25th.

As an employee for best buy mobile, the one thing i have noticed is you dont always have to listen to what the in stock date is. We get phones in sometimes 2 weeks before the in stock date claims, and the best part that myself and probably everyone is hoping for is that we get a lot of hard street dates, which means that they set a date sometimes before that in stock date and we have to sell it then. It happened with the palm pre and it also happened with the first storm. Lets keep our fingers crossed!!!

Like I said I think we should pay close attention to the street date.
