Does anybody have and idea as to how much VZW pays RIM for the phone. I'm guessing that it has to be less than the 2 year contract price. I wouldn't have a problem paying the 2 year price to upgrade, or even the 2 year price and trade in the S1. I don't think that VZW would ever do anything like that though.
If VZW just got this for testing, shouldn't that mean that we should have gotten it leaked before Verizon even got their hands on it? LOL
hopefully this leaks today since everything usually leaks on wednesdays...![]()
When is this leak coming. this is so annoying
where are the bloody 9500 Gods these days....i want the .288 as well...im still running my 216...coz i've heard there's bugs with 230...how is the Hybrid going with the 238?
is there anything out there better than the 216 at this very moment for the 9500?
also i was thinking with this whole new BBM5 and the Group features which are absolutely addictive, we should create forums like this on BBM to chat and stuff....what do you think Moderator? i think it's a good idea..then we can have people helping each other out on the spot....
keep up the good work guys...loving my BB
I'm stoked by the news. I haven't found a 5.0 leak that works on my particular storm. Maybe then I could get a new one, or Auto upgraded to S2. Please VZW make it official.
So Lyricidal's hybrid contains some .287, does that mean he has some of the .287 files from the Storm 9530? Or did he just pull them from the Odin leak?
From over on Crackberry... patches152 mentioned that Verizon is no longer testing .288. Take it for what you might.
Or it might actually be that it was never actually .288.

I heard the same thing, namely there were a ton of quincy reports filed with RIM from vzw on this OS. This makes me believe it was failed and RIM is working to update the OS per VZW's specifications.
Of course it would be HILARIOUS and full of fail if it turned out that the OS was fine, and the Quincy app had a bug making it throw out bogus error reports.......
On a serious note, i'm beginning to wonder how VZW is going to have something ready by the end-of-the-year deadline I heard was set for 5.0 release. We all know how lightning-fast Verizon is at testing and approving OSes.
Lyrical's latest hybrid also contains some .296 files and it is working great. It contains .230; .238; .287 and .296 files. Great battery and memory very stable. Thanks to Lyrical, and BBOS and BlackberryOS, I love these site I learn so much from the users, and I like the friendliness that usually prevails.
