Bluetooth problems 5.0.0.238 and Ford SYNC

Hello, I was having a problem with my Storm 9530 screen going black, yet still able to send and receive calls by using the SYNC screen or the answer/hang up buttons on the phone. I thought it was because of the blue tooth as it only occurred when I was in the car.
I wiped the phone and did a clean install 230 then 238, ran shrink, restored only contacts and address book, re-downloaded all 3rd party apps, I had deleted the phone bluetooth connection in the car.
When I got in the car I created a new relationship with the phone and the SYNC, no more freezing, now I am having a problem with volume when using the bluetooth? Did not have a volume problem before.
Any help would be appreciated.

very dumb question.. when connected did you make sure that on the phone you turn the volume up like you were on it?

I am having the same problem. Sync is in Privacy mode and stays that way even if you turn it off. I don't have a solution yet. I may go back to 4.7.

I was having that problem, sorry, I don't remember how I remedied it, I think it had something to do with me playing music from the phone through the SYNC. Now my only problem is the person on the other end can hardly hear me, going to check my volume on the phone, although, I don't think that ever did anything when I was using SYNC. We shall see.

I may have misunderstood you.. Is it you cant hear them or they cant hear you?

hmm that is odd.. that sounds like something in the car becaue doesnt the sync use the cars microphone to transmitt your voice?

When you get an incoming call how do you answer it? From the car or the phone's send button?

How about when you start to call someone, does the problem still exist? or does it happen both ways?

Bluetooth seems to be working properly now, except the screen on the blackberry goes dark only way to get it back is either reboot phone or wait for another call to come in and then it is okay again. Waiting for next software leak.

Well it won't matter for me after tomorrow. My car is a demo(I work in a dealership) and I'm coming out of it tomorrow. The replacement car doesn't have Sync, so it's back to the old Bluetooth headset.

Still having intermittent problems with the bluetooth and SYNC, sometimes the person I have called cannot hear me and sometimes they can, sometimes my screen goes dark I cannot see any icons, but if I call my phone from the dashboard, then my screen comes back on, or if someone else calls me my screen comes back on, I wonder if this has to do with pattern lock? Strange things...
Need/Want new operating system waiting patiently for my ::bbos:: ALERT...

Also updated computer to Windows 7, and everything working great on that front. Backing up the phone, DM working great, BBSAK working great.

Sync Issue Fix

I was also having ALOT of issues with .238 and Sync, went back to .230 ( same issues). Changing the bluetooth services has seemed to solve my issues. Unchecked all services other than headset, handsfree, and audio source.

Okay I unchecked everything on mine except for handsfree, no more black screens, only problem is sometimes the person I am speaking with has a problem hearing me. Thanks for the suggestion.
