Thread: Help with 5.0.0.230 and bbm

well i installed 191 andupgraded to the .230 new update that was just released on top of it. i had the 5.0 bbm before i installed 5.0 os but now i have no bbm at all. how do i get bbm 5.0 back on my phone? and if thats not possible how can i get any bbm back on my phone? thanks guys

Welcome to ! BBM5.0 is not compatible with any 5.0 OS above .154. You will have to install 4.7 which is included with .230.

Ya bbm 5.0 doesn't work with .230... You need to go in and make sure there isn't a bbm on your phone in applications. If there is delete it. Then hook your phone back to your computer and run it through the apploader again. Only check the bbm not bbm 5.0 and finish. You will have to go back and install your contacts in an advanced reinstall... Any questions about that just ask..

A side note... No it can't be OTA-ed... It has to be done through apploader!

thats weird that they would do that. lol. damn im gonna miss bbm 5.0 but this os is beastly everything is faster and the scrolling is sooo clean. anyway thanks forthe help guys and im looking foward to learning more from you guys also my application center doesnt work. idk whats up with that.

App Center doesn't work with 5.0 either.

oh ok... does app world work? also i connected my device to the computer and tried to run app loader and only the third party apps that i currently have installed came up and i couldnt find bbm anywhere. i dont know if its on my computer. what should i do?

Are you familiar with apploader exe.? This is not the apploader on your DM...

Yes app world does work.

yea apploader.exe is what i used to put .230 on it. im actually very familiar with it. was a member over at crackberry then stopped checking for things and stayed with 148. getting back into the maddness haha

As I said before... You can add back your bbm contacts through an Advanced Restore!

DM>backup/restore>advanced>in the left pane click where it says file on the top>pick a recent backup>find only BBM> highlight it and then click the arrow that looks like this >>>
