Thread: Storm Slider for 230

I found that following apps have an issue with 230

Storm SLider - No longer works with 230. The slider freezes frequently. U need to remove battery for a reboot. I found a simpler way. Make a call to the 230 BB from another phone & when 230BB is ringing, disconnect & u may just get control before slidertakes over.. A fix is urgently reqd.

Pl help if someone has a working Storm slider for 230...

I haven't used mine for quite a while...but this may be an issue of app and 5.0 incompatibility. Let me look around for you.

Slider does work. The thing is there has been 2 updates since 5.0.230 came out. I removed my password and it never fails now. Go get a newer version and see if that helps.

If you still have your original download link, you can revisit it, click bb key, refresh, then download. If you don't have it, mobihand saves all the apps you get...just log in and redownload.

Mine worked fine with .230 till Friday. I have the PW on & every time I enter the PW, it would just hang on the last number. I'd have to plug in my charger to disable it. I had to disable "lock on charger" after the last update cause it was locking at the time set when backlight was still on & I'm using it.

the developer should have an update coming in the next day or so but that is all just cosmetic stuff. we have a few people running slider on .230 with no problems, but some people have mentioned it and you can try swiping it a few times when it locks of putting it in a holster and that should reset it

I'm running slider with 230 for over 24 hours now - It does seem to lock up the phone sometimes but I found that a little patience and sliding a couple times when the slider is not visible seems to work. I also noticed that slider just seems to come on randomly when I'm using the phone. Doesn't seem to matter what app I'm using. It's a little annoying but I still love the slider app. I'm sure future upgrades will fix it.

I've had the latest 9530-5.0.0.238/.230 hybrid for about 12 hours now. Storm Slider has not locked-up on me yet...yet. I'm going to keep a close eye on it today and I'll put in another 2 cents later.

Storm Slider works fine on .230 for me. I however don't use StormSlider for in call screen lock. I used it as a screen lock when the device would be not in use. I use TalkLock for my in call screen lock and that works flawlessly. If you are having issues with it, just disable it. I will see what else I could maybe find out about it and see if I can offer you any solution other than the work around I just explained.

I am trying to figure out if Storm Slider is now Berry Slider or if they just have two names?

Its what mobihand calls it "Berry Slider". I had it also but it doesnt work with "Profiler", an automatic profiler changer app that I have. When its time for a profile to change, "berry Slider" prevents the profile to change cause profiler thinks phone is locked. It worked great for me but "profiler" is a great app and its more important to me than berry Slider. When you have a social life and more than one job, the phone's profile changes automatically according to when my phone should be on ring or vibrate.
