Install problem using DM5 and Vista

I recently traded in my storm in for another storm and am trying to load my third party apps back on it. Because there is something wrong with my regular computer, I'm using my laptop which runs vista, and have downloaded DM 5 to make the changes.

For most of the aps I'm trying to install, I've save the original zipped file they came in when I bought them.

When I browse to load the alx files, DM tells me they are not compatible with my device. (I know they are because I had them loaded on my last storm)

Why would this be occuring and how do I get the files onto my new unit??

Can you tell us which apps aren't loading?

Quicklaunch, Aces Blackjack, and Texas Holdum - Actually - the problem gets wierder

I went to options advanced applications, and the two games ARE on my unit in the list of aps
but I can only find one of them (texas was hidden and showed up with a 'show all') but AcesBlackjack - although showing in the applications list -is nowhere to be found on the machine -

Nate if I step on your toes sorry, those apps are not compatible with higher builds what os are you running? If you are on one of those they will show in apps list but they will not show on the phone.

I was running all of these aps on V8.5 on my previous storm. My current OS is the Verizon 148 last officially released

Plus do you mean Quicklaunch, a very popular ap, won't run on my machine??

if you are on .148 scratch that... try going into your applications list and setting everything to allow and then check all of you folders..

All permissions were set to allow - still can't find the one missing ap anywhere

Have you tried fresh downloads of each apps? instead of restoring?>
