Does it happen on all your email accounts on your phone or just gmail?
On your phone go to messages-options-email settings-and scroll down to confirm delivery and change to no.
You will have to do this on all your email accounts that this happens to. If that doesn't work I have another work around, let me know and I can post that.
It is a gmail account, thats all I have on my phone.I checked-messages, options, email settings, and delivery confirmation is set to no already.
When I first setup the gmail account on my wife's BB the same thing was happening and being that I could not find a setting to turn that off, I went to the BIS portal and setup a filter not to forward emails sent by here. It's been working fine since.
Ok so do the following:
Log into BIS website from PC
Find your gmail account and click the filter icon on the right hand side
Click add a filter
Configure the filter so that email messages are not sent to the phone
1. Type a name for the filter in the Filter Name field. For example, My sent Gmail email messages.
2. Set the Apply filter when field to "FROM" field.
3. Type the Gmail webmail address in the Contains field. For example, <user name>@gmail.com.
4. Select the Do not forward messages to device option.
5. Click Add Filter.
I don't know anything about the BIS site. But I went and tried and I guess I have to register for that? When i put my pin and meid number in, it says my phone is not registered.
Bryan, You actually still have a Star Tac? :laugh2:
I am with Verizon.
Go to the bis site by clicking here
Then enter your user name and password (same one you use when logging into email settings from your phone)
