Two things I've noticed...sometimes I get two gmail account folders initially...then one disappears...don't know why. The one that disappears looks like the primary messages folder, a plain envelope. The one that remains is different, with a globe on it. Also...have you tried connecting to your computer and running DM. Let it look for updates. The first time around mine listed updates for the Enhanced Gmail Plugin. It acted as though it installed something. I don't know if it did but it's worth a try.

You definitely don't have it then. You should do a complete fresh install on your computer and on your phone.

same result... it wont let me download it cause it does not recognize it cause im on 5.0.0.230 and says i dont meet requirements.

I found the modules in my BB. Let me copy them in BBSAK and I'll post you a link. BBOS nor me are taking responsibility for your results you may totally eff your phone up. But it may be worth a try. Will post in a few minutes after I rip and upload

They are:

net_rim_bb_gmail_resource_en

(I assume these are the ones)

appreciate it. looks like it. as for using the DM to update the plug-in... that would require the plugin to be installed in the first place and i have have never installed it before.

yup. i would not try to hold anyone responsible. i am quite familiar with phone flashing anyways. been doing it for years. im backing up right now just incase this dont work.

ha ha... ill test and report my findings... lol

I got a issue with this gmail plugin, I am on a BES and have my sms separate from my bes inbox, when I add the gmail email when I receive a email, it comes into the gmail mailbox and my bes inbox, how can I make it not go to my bes inbox

All messages will show up in the main combined message folder. Your only option is to hide the main folder and use the separate individual ones.

Thats stupid? I only want three boxes, one BES email, one Gmail, one SMS

whats the point in having the gmail box if they come into my BES email

if i understand correctly a bes email ONLY goes to your MESSAGES inbox right? so you cannot seperate your bes account from the messages box correct?

then unfortunately you will not be able to seperate the gmail COMPLETELY from your bes. cause all email will be present in your messages inbox regardless. if there is a folder assigned to your BES account then use that and just hide your MESSAGES folder and you will be fine. otherwise i am afraid you are a little out of luck in this aspect.

yeah seems i'm outa luck, wish the stupid gmail app would work with 5.0

it does work... i just posted an update to the original post on how to get it working! works great!
