Thread: BBM 4.7 for 5.0 OS OTA

After a few weeks of not having BBM with OS .191 and then OS .230, I finally have it on my phone. I was on BBHybrids.com and I was able to load their OTA and it works. I had to reload all of my contacts because I had them saved with BBM 5.0 and I could not locate them. However, I wanted to share the OTA with others who were experiening the same problem. I hope it works.

just a FYI for folks...you can restore your contacts from a 5.0 BBM to the 4.7 BBM using the advanced restore in the DM.

catstide, YOU ARE A LIFESAVER! i was in a state on panic bkuz i tried downloading bbm 5.0 after i updated to the OS 5.0.0.230 & it totally erased it from my 9530 & i couldn't restore it for the life of me, but thanks to you i can now function at 100% capacity lol! thanks!

thanks a million!! I was having the same problem. I couldn't get get bbm 5.0 to upload after i upgraded to .230 either. Now I am complete.
