Illegal New Size error for a .ppt document

I am having a problem with a .ppt document. I hit the file and it starts documents to go but then comes up with the error " Illegal newSize-1". I just started getting this error on .140 and still on .191. I tried deleting the file off the memory card and putting it back on thinking maybe it was corrupted but still no go. Anyone have a solution to this? Thanks in advance for any help!

Hmm, can't say I've seen this error before. Have you tried a battery pull?

You could try uninstalling D2G and reinstalling.

Well I reinstalled it today and still the same error. I know the file is good since it worked fine before. Not sure where to go from here.

I have a feeling there is a limitation wrt Docs@Go on Os 5.0.0.xxx
In fact I`m sure as an updated version of Docs2Go came with Os 5.0.0.191 which addresses this issue.

I updated to the newest version off their website and still have the same error. It is something just with the ppt part ,since everything else in D2G works. I tried even creating a new file and received the error right when it loads.

Did you uninstall D2G before you updated it? If that doesn't work, could also try doing a security wipe and including third party apps. You'll have to reload your back up and apps, but it might fix the issue too.

I uninstalled it ,rebooted then reinstalled and still got the same error. Tried the premium version hoping that by some miracle it would work and that didnt either. I just installed
.191 on my wifes phone doing a full wipe and she is also getting the same error using ppt.

Kinda sucks this is a slideshow of my first house im building and whenever someone asks me to see pics of what it looks like I grab my trusty BB then remember it doesnt open up

I get the same error on the 9530 - is it because of the size of the document

    "Illegal newSize -1"

    I'm using OS 4.7.1.53

I haven't used eOffice nor have I read any info on the program, couldnt hurt to try though.
I was almost certian i read that error flag while browsing through BlackBerry JDE 2 books, i belive it was an error flag for font size not file size, cant find it for the life of me.
Let us know how eOffice works out.

    Thumbs down

I have an open ticket for a week now with DataViz for this issue -- on my 9630 (aka Tour), it occurred with OS v4.7.1.53, and now still with OS v4.7.1.57! It does not matter which version of Documents To Go (i.e., v1.006 [bundled with OS] or v1.007.042 [latest download from DataViz], Standard or Premium) -- all exhibit the same issue. This occurs with creating a new document as well as opening an existing document of any size (i.e., I am dead in the water with respect to Slideshow To Go), but both Word To Go and Sheet To Go appear to be fully functional! I am not impressed with DataViz tech support so far...

Smile Try Converting to PowerPoint 7.0 Format, pptx.

I had the same problem. I managed to open one very small file on my blackberry tour, but nothing else. I read that some of you couldn't open ANY files, no matter how small, so I doubled-checked the one that had worked. It was a .pptx file that I created today. ISo I tried converting an old, very large .ppt file to .pptx and it worked. I can read it just fine on the little black machine.
