Now that I have unlocked my Verizon 9530, and I'm getting service from Orange in Israel, what OS can I run on my phone?

Can't you run any OS as long as you delete the vendor.xml file from it?

To delete the vendor file navigate to the following on your pc once you have installed the os...

C-program files-common files-research in motion-app loader--double click app loader and scroll down the list and once you find vendor.xml just delete it. Make sure you empty your recycle bin as well. Here is what the vendor file looks like

You will need to stick with the 9530 OS's only as the 9500 won't be compatible with your phone.

5.0.0.191 was leaked for the 9530 which gives threaded sms, and flick scrolling. But the camera doesn't work and neither does BBM5 so it really is up to you and what you are looking for

This OS was just leaked this morning for the 9530. I haven't heard much about it yet as lot of folks are running .191 and probably haven't bothered to try it yet since it is a 4.7 build.

Jerde, I have seen a lot of sucess on 4.7.0.148.

Make sure you download a software for the 9530 and not 9500.

Ok, thanks to both of you. I have .148 right now. I may just update to .167, that is after I see how it fairs for awhile.
