Thread: How to DIY change the "click mechanism switch?"

DIY click mechanism switch

I just recieved my third storm and the screen on the bottom right does not click really. But the phone I had before does click really well. Does anyone know of a do it yourself video or instructions where i can switch the click mechanism from my other phone before i send it back to verizon? Someone please let me know if you can help. no i don't think you want to try to swap the clickys. try putting a folded business card behind your battery.

I've always done the paper trick. And i also tried the torx which did help. But if i click on the bottom right where the black part that doesn't light up it still doesnt click. If i click on the bottom right where it lights up it click better now. But the left side in the black part its clicks. Does anyone else have this problem?

If you just got it, my advise is to contact Verizon and let them know. pick one to keep and one to send back.

Tell them to get it together and send you another.

If you mess around with it too much you may be sorry you did.

The replacement phone I got is having that issue. I'm going to try the screw trick. The business card helps the click everywhere else on the phone except the lower right corner.
