Thread: Do i choose to go with a Brand new Storm or the Tour?

I have a decision to make and need a little assistance. I have the BB Storm currently but am having issues with the hardware itself and have gone through 2 exchanges in the last week. They are offering me any phone i want. Do i choose to go with a Brand new Storm or the Tour?

id go with the tour honestly, i have one and cant imagine still having the storm (along with all its issues) at this point... its like night and day IMO

i'd go with the storm honestly,i have one and can't imagine going back to one of those trackball thingys.it's like night and day.

copycat! :lmao: i dont mind the trackball honestly, seems to work much better than the touch on the storm... at least for me :22:

I can go without themes but cannot do without the facebook application. I just got off the phone with Verizon and they are sending me a NEW Tour so we will see how that one works. Ive just had too many problems with the storm. I really like the phone and the touch/click screen and wish it was working but i guess i will give up the touch for a phone that works

Good choice twist at the end of the day it comes down to whether or not the phone works the way it should and considering it took me 2 min to get my storm to unlock to call 911 once I gave it up quite easily.

Hey Twizt... HOW on earth did you get Verizon to do that for you? Think I'd like to try.

I would wait 2 months for the Storm 2

Its amazing how some of us have few issues or problems with our Storms, yet others go through 2, 3 or more of them. I bought a lightly used one off eBay and once I found a radio that worked with At&t reliably haven't had a problem. I haven't even bothered to upgrade the OS beyond .151 it works so well. - I'm even contemplating jumping to Big Red, now that my contract is up to get 3G. (Wife is on Verizon and I'm the first to run out the contract).

I agree, I love my Storm. Had it for 8 months now. I'm not moving to a trackball or trackpad....ever

same here...like i've stated before i have the same storm i got at 7am on the release date.

SAme here. I brought my storm of Ebay. Person said it was a factory refurbished one and i have not had a problem at all. Also, because I had insurance on my previous phone, the curve, I still have the same insurance with my storm. So I can get another one if something goes wrong. I would have stuck with the storm until the storm 2 comes out.

I really tried to like the Tour but just couldn't. Don't get me wrong it's a very solid device, good OS, very nice radio and excellent battery life.

But overall the keys are just too small for my man hands in addition the trackball really sucks on mine and already been through 3 replacements. The battery door issue is annoying and in addition I get my reboots on my Tour than I have on my Storm.

Since 5.0 came out for the Storm it really made me realize how much I like that device and how much I did not like the Tour. In some respects it comes down to personal preference (physical versus keyless keyboard) but overall I just am not impressed with the tour to make that my daily device. Just my two cents.

I'm holding out for the S2. Hopefully there aren't too many problems with the screen or hardware when it is released.

I upgraded to the tour from the storm and switched back to storm within an hour. What killed it for me was the keys were too small and the real estate on the screen was killing me, to use a storm for awhile and then pull up blackberryos.com on half the screen was terrible.

I have seen the tour I have the STORM now hind sight to me says WOW im glad im a storm owner. I will look forward to the S2. You will love it or hate it no inbetweens.

yeah, still on my first storm, i work on cars for a living and keep it in my pants pocket all day long without a case... no problems at all (knock wood...) I don't know, maybe some people have an electrical field around them and just kill stuff?

Then again, I had a RAZRv3 for two years before the storm and never had an issue with it either, just sayin'...

I'm on a replacement and only because I dropped my first storm 1 to many timez. And the screen stopped working at times after the big fall. The screen on the replacement doesn't quite click as well but it isn't s bad tha I need another replacement. I think the screen si2ze would be thw hates thing to get used to on a tour.
