Other than unlocking the device did you change anything else about it? having working for VZW for a long time, you should be able to react that handset w/o too many problems. VZW is kind of sticklers when it comes to moving handsets between networks so I would leave that tidbit of info out...

once you wipe it there won't be an OS associated... when you go through the loader it will install an OS for you... fyi, remember to delete the vendor file first.

it was installed i deleted and installing a fresh .151 now

ok.. let me know how it goes... just curious what did vzw say when you said you wanted to reactive your device? They can be so STUBBORN sometimes.. :crazy:

they said it had been flashed and cant be used now i cant get os installed i tried bbsak,apploader and dm says theres no os for this device

silly question, did you follow this path: Program files --> common files --> research in motion - - > apploader?

yes cant get comp to see phone now have black screen and red led is flashing 2 times in succession

I would unplug the phone and restart the computer.. see if that helps... did you back up your phone prior to wipe?

Thought I would help you out there wolvrne1. Be sure to verify that the OS is loaded on the PC as well. Control Panel>>Add/Remove programs...You should see two instances of Blackberry Applications. One will be the Desktop Manager, the other will be the OS

Be sure to backup all third party apps and perform a device backup as well.

To run the install through Loader.exe follow these steps.

My Computer>>Local C>>Program Files>>Common Files>>Research in Motion>>AppLoader.

In this folder be sure a file called vendor.xml is deleted. It generally is listed at the bottom of the list of files. Once you have deleted this, run a search on your PC for the word Vendor. Be sure to include any hidden files.

Now that this is finished, connect your BB to your PC via the sync cable. Once intialization is complete, look for the Loader.exe file. Looks like a picture of a phone. Run this application. This should load the OS onto your device.

niether bbsak or dm will find my phone and phone will do nothing red light blinks but that is it

Take the battery out and leave it for about 60 seconds..reinstall and let the device reboot. If you get the red lights a second time, pull the battery for 60 seconds again. Then let us know.

red led still flashing phone wont boot up
