Thread: Third Party Backup error

I have been getting an error when trying to restore my third party apps.



I have used both BBSAK and DM to backup my thirdparty apps. I use apploader and click on Add then browse to whatever folder they are saved in. I click on the .alx file and I then get that error. I have older backups saved and I do not get the error with those. Anyone run into this? I don't remember exactly when I started getting them but it may have been around the time I first tried the 5.0 OS leak.

Facebook 1.6, NuSkool Theme, Patternlock, Meterberry, Buzzme, and BBAmpd - Orange theme. I am able to restore the last four from older backups though.

I had that problem with my storm and the DM 5.0 leak a few months back. It never found the route cause I always assumed it was an application. The two in your list that I had on my storm were patternlock and facebook. Try. Building an .alx file without one of those 2 and see if it helps.

The other suggestion would be to remove and reinstall DM

I think you are right about the DM. I don't think it is patternlock cause it will load from an older backup, and I have a backup that doens't have facebook in it that won't load either. Now that you mention it I think this may have started when I installed the DM 5.0 leak. I will try removing that and reinstalling. Thanks!

Cool give it a try. I deleted it and retried more then once with 4.7 and that always fixed it. I never got the chance with 5.0 as I picked up the tour and just wiped my storm.

I just stopped doing a 3rd party backup. I usually just reload each app one at a time after an os change.

Fresh start everytime!

Forgot to update when I did this....the problem was DM. I removed it from my PC and then downloaded a fresh copy of 4.7 and installed that. That fixed it. I am now able to install all my 3rd party backups, even the ones that wouldn't before.
