    Apps opening in portrait only??

Am running 151 and just recently I have a number of 3rd party apps like Google maps that will only open in portrait - I have tried downloading newer versions from app world but still same problem. The programs act like they would on a standard BB (I think) and I cannot hide the keyboard - any thoughts??

Have you tried a battery pull? Did you install anything recently around the time this started occurring?

In addition to what Sunkast suggested, try disabling compatibility mode for those apps giving you problems. Then before re-opening the apps do a battery pull and hopefully this should get rid of that for you.

I had tried the battery pulls to no avail. - I believe that I had recently upgraded to the newer version of "app world" so maybe that was the problem. Disabling the compatibility mode and then battery pull WORKED....THANKS SO MUCH - ever wonder why these "smart" phones don't just work the way they should all the time...LOL

It can be very frustrating that's for sure. Glad you got it working.
