Both of those thread have very specific instructions in them I would try wiping and then following the instructions in the thread, it is also suggested to remove your media card when you use these process's
as far as the problem you are having now go mycomputer> you should see two 'drives' or folders that say blackberry, do you see that?
So your saying that the hybrid 7.1.4 is better of battery life? If so ill do it just looking of an OS that does not have much lag and battery life is ok on
In my computer i do not see a file called Blackberry
best battery life for me was on v6, but v 7.1.4 wasnt as good but not as bad as straight .151..Quote:

ok Twizt when you was the last time you cleared the broswer cache on your storm? and the last restart of your computer? I sometime have trouble getting my computer to read my storm and it is usually 1 of 3 thingsQuote:

I think i got that media card problem fixed seems to be my media card since i put in a new card and worked fine...now im interested in downloading the new software for my phone to make it better. Ive never downloaded anything like this before so is there a link with a how 2 guide or anything like that. I have moderate knowledge over the OS on the phone and how it works

Other than those links all you need to do is when you go into the v7.1.4 link download and then install the 4.7.0.151 os, then download and run the v7.1.4 hybrid, all of these instructions are in that thread, check it out and let me know if you have more questions

Well so far so good...DTM seems to be working fine with the media card actually better than before...the phone seems fast but the battery life is still a small issue...i am still only using the Facebook application. Ill test it over the next few days and see if it gets any better!!
