I just got the AVIC-X910BT installed and everyone I speak to says there is a lot of static on the line.
Other phones hooked up to it sound fine except for my 9530.
Anyone know what might be causing it?
Thanks in advance.

What's a Avic-x910bt?
Could be the OS version...
I envy you.(Kick Ass Head Unit) There were problems with other blackberrys with this head unit. I did see somewhere that you can make adjustments. I have the AVH-P4100 but no phone yet as the BT adapter is on backorder if you need more help with it pm me

I have the Avic N5 in my car. It seems to be working fine, but I have a couple issues. When I get a call waiting, it rings.
1. Regardless of whether I answer the other phone call that's coming in, it rings and rings. I cannot get the ringing to stop until I hang up entirely. Any ideas?
2. I cannot get my contacts to transfer. Do you know how to do that?
Let me add...
This is how I try to transfer the contacts. I'm not even sure I'm doing that correctly.
I put my headunit in the BT-Tel mode. Then on my phone I go to Manage connections-bluetooth options. When I click on the BB Button it says transfer contacts. I hit that. The phone says something about trying to makl contact with the Poineer (my head unit) then I get an error, "unable to locate object push server." Then it says I should refer to the manual.
Hopefully this gives you better insight.
With the X910BT, I have a transfer contact option built into the headunit. With the older headunit I had, the process caminator stated was the way to do it.
As for the call waiting problem, i have always had the problem. It is something with the way BlackBerries interact with the bluetooth answering system on headunits.
As for the OS, I just got the unit installed this past Saturday so my current OS has been the only one I have tried. Do you think the OS has anything to do with it?
Update:
I was reading that if you disable the Echo Control and the Encryption through the Bluetooth options it alleviates the problem. Will try it out and keep you updated...
What are the chances the encryption option has anything to do with it? What exactly is the purpose of the encryption option when it comes to connecting to a hands-free device?

UPDATE:
Tried disabling both and there was still static...
Any other ideas?
