Thread: BBM 5.0 on Storm with OS 5.0...

Does anyone have the Desktop Manager files for this? I can't get any of the OTA links to work. It shows that it downloads and says installed successfully but nothing shows up. Thanks in advance for the help!!!

I tried that OTA link 3 times. Doesn't work for me. It says it installs correctly but it never shows up...

hmmm....try this BlackBerry Messenger 5.0 OTAs

I'm completely deleting it off my BB and I'll try a fresh install...

What OS do you need them for and let me start looking So far I can't find any Zip links still active.

Let me ask you when you have tried the OTA have you done it with the old version of BBM installed and with it uninstalled?

Ok well so far any desktop files seems impossible as I can't find them. Every site I hit has the link removed. I will keep looking for you

I"ve Pm'ed all the Hybrid makers as well hoping they had a copy but I haven't heard back yet...

OK I finally got the OTA to work after like the 10th try...I'd still really like the Desktop Manager .ALX files for 5.0 devices if anyone has them please email them to rbowers403@zoominternet.net

This is were i got my ota. I haven't had a issue with my install. this is what u will need to do. first type this link in from your bb http://www.theiexplorers.com/BBM/For_5.0.0/BBMen.jad . then when the download screen comes up you will need to set permissions to allow. then download. do not close or back out the screen. it will take a few minutes to download. after install is complete please do a battery pull. when phone reboots check your instant messaging folder and it should be there. let me no if u have any problems.

i had a problem with the installation but after 3-4 times it worked. The ota is fine!

I had the same issue or something similar. I would install and nothing would show up. So after about an hour or so of troubleshooting I pulled into dm and seen that for some reason bbm 4.7 was somehow installed along with 5.0. (weird-it was at the very bottom of apps list 4 me, may be different for you). So I removed 4.7 with dm and restarted phone then went to download 5.0 ota once again it installed correctly. I did another quick pull and tada reset worked bc there in my IM folder was sitting bbm. So I went through terms & agreement and have been running my bbm 5.0 with os 5.0 every since. Hope this helps. :-p

Lol. Guess u got it. Took me a while to get that msg out. But glad to hear you're up and running. Maybe someone will have the same issue I had.
