Blackberry Memory.. Cleaner Apps, Hybrids, ShrinkOS what works?
We ALL have urged for more memory on our devices, Let's face it memory cards aren't enough and internal memory is limited, so where do we turn??
Thats right Trusty Hybrids and Shrink OS's and Deleting Unused files oh and we can't forget Memory Cleaning Apps.
Post your findings in which of these seem to be the most effective and with what settings? If it's an application how much did it cost and does it work?:22:

I use all 3 and I don't understand why the following keep coming back when i removed them using shrink OS...

AIM
ICQ
Windows M
Google Talks
VCast Songs
Vczw Tones
Slacker Radio
Someone Please tell me if and how I can get rid of these off my device permanently? I appreciate it. I thought The shrink OS removed them but i must be doing something wrong??

Are you using the following Shrink A OS. Make sure to follow the instruction and you should be able to get rid of these. the exception is Vcast Song and Tone. To get rid of those go into options, advanced options and service books. You should these at the top. Highlight and delete them and they will be removed. Keep in mind that each time you load a new OS these will come back.Originally Posted by iJax

From the way I understand things iJax those last three in your list our simply launchers. Unless You download the app the launchers will repopulate or push themselves back onto your device every time you have your service books sent to your device. So in essence you could find a way to delete the, resend the books and those launchers will be back. Now about the social apps...I have always had the launcher Icons in my IM folder for my 9530. Here's the thing. When I run the app loader and come to the application configuration screen, the loader shows that these apps are not installed. So again, must be launchers to initiate an application.

That's true forgot that Slacker is now pushed out. The other two are launchers therefore each time you send service books they will be pushed on to your phone. But you can quite easily remove them by going into service books and deleting them.

Do the service books update automatically? Because I delete them out of my service books and then I notice them back in there in a few hours? Is there a way to get rid of this re occurring launcher?

Oh And which are the service books for the Windows Live and Google Talk? I can't figure which of those service books to delete will delete them?

The only way it will send service books is if you reinstall an OS, doing battery pulls or you send service books yourself. I am not sure how Slacker works as that is something VZW pushes out. However, the other two launches should not come back once you delete them from your service books list.

Windows Live is WLM2.1 (BBIMConfig).
Google talk I remove with Shrink so I am not sure which one that is in the service books register

Correct, every time you use quick pull to reset these will come back. But once you know how to delete them it will only a minute to remove them.
