I have a gmail account set up in "set up email" and it goes through and the activation comes over, but I never get notified when any emails come in. It won't send to the BB. Any ideas?

Have you recently got a replacement storm? Have you re sent service books?
Have you tried sending your service books from BlackBerry Internet Service
This should resolve the problem.
Thanks for the quick response. I have tried sending service books several times. My regular email account works just fine, only the gmail will not receive. I have deleted it and re-set it up as well.
apparently several weeks
Could you try to reactivate the password that correlates to that gmail account in the BIS site that jlevy posted up?
When I go there it tells me to access through the phone.
I'll be a monkeys uncle. For some reason now it works. Who's to argue with progress. I'm going to sleep. Long day. Thanks guys.
If you are with Verizon, this may help.
The phone number will contact a blackberry specialist for VZW. The can help you set up the BIS. I think that they ask that you try not to call them while you are on the device in question.

I was having a issue with GMail a couple weeks ago and i got a hold of Verizon's BB Tech support, they told me that sometimes the GMail accounts can lock up and you have to go to this link to unlock them.
After i did this my account worked, not sure if it will help you any bit but worth a try :-)

Google Mail accounts are locked for the following reasons:
- Receiving, deleting, or popping out large amounts of mail in a short period of time
- Sending mail to a large number of recipients in a short period of time
- Using 3rd party file-sharing or storing software in your account
- Logging in from multiple locations in a short period of time
- Using your account for purposes other than email.
Interesting, thanks Kris.
