Thread: bricked!! not noob

wiped with jl comdr., loaded os .151. when loading, starts then comes up with, your bb desktop software does not have bb software for the device that is connected. deleted dm 5.0.0.11, and os .151. in control panel, reloaded dm 5.0.0.8 and os .151. same error. phone is bricked (err 507). am i missing a step?

have you tried loading with the app loader instead of the DM?

Sorry for the dumb question but did you delete the vendor.xml file?

yes, loaded with app loader and did delete vendor file. not new to this, have loaded leaks and bbc's hybrids. first time with this error code. had .148/bbc7.1.2

Okay moe...507 error is simply stating that your device is without an OS installed. I would continue to try and install the OS of your choice....

Is it the 4.7.0.151 for the 9500...going out on a limb but had to ask

Michael is right, 507 error means no OS on your phone. SO you need to begin as if your phone is bricked. I will post some instructions to get back up and running again.

Yeah moe you know...Look in the DM at the tab that says Help. Then select About Blackberry Desktop Manager.Then select the tab that says Device Software. This might give you an indication.

If that suggestion doesn't work try this.

Not unless you want to. .151 IMO is probably the most stable straight OS out there. I would keep it as is unless you have something else in mind.

I honestly would go all the way back to .75 then jump back to .151.
You have .151 installed on you PC. You would simply remove the .exe off of the DM the download and install .75 onto the DM. If you get it to load then Unistall .75 from you PC, load up .151 and upgrade.
