Thread: Fatal Error Message

Hi first time I'm seeing this on the 9530 after wiping and trying to reinstall software. After the loading instead of saying successful, I get "A fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software. Please try again" And then it stays at a blank white screen.

I tried using the app loader and dm and get the same message. Anyone have suggestions?

I would do multiple battery pulls to begin with. Let me know what you think.

Do you have JLcmdr? If so, try and wipe the device. It may not work, but dont panic. Just restart the device and while it is booting try wiping the device again with JLcmdr. It may take several attempts while the device is booting to get JLcmdr to recognize it but it will. This will bring you back to th 507 error. Now you can reload your OS of choice...

Have you gone through either of the unbricking guides? If so where in the guide are you getting stuck?

sorry I read the thread here what are you trying to do? how did you come to get this error?

Hey Soul, It looks like you were up and running a while ago. What might I ask, did you do to the device to cause this issue?

what part of it loading them back pnto the deivce or did this happen when you were trying to make a backup .alx?

have you followed bbcrackman's instructions?

I'm up to the part where I'm using the cmd prompt, and when I entered 'LOADER /NOJVM' seems it kicked off the app loader to try and reinstall the OS. I went ahead and its loading now but looks no different than before when it was failing. Lets see, its finishing and I'm crossing my fingers.
