Thread: Once Again BBOS Shines!

With all heck breaking loose on all BB forums with the newest 5.0 leak, it was confirmed for me yet again why I turn to Blackberry OS for info and help on leaks, hybrids, you name it.....

Just a quick look at other forums during the mayhem and all you pretty much see are people bashing others for posting, not searching, being a noob, etc. I actually felt sorry for the posters when I looked at the post counts on many of the people asking questions because I knew they really needed some help, but were not going to get it from the folks on those forums....

Meanwhile over here at BBOS it was business as usual....well organized moderation, people getting assistance from both moderators and other members, and for myself I was able to scan the 5.0 findings forum(s) and determine whether I wanted to upgrade or not without reading a bunch of putdowns and arguments....

Hats off again to the super moderators, as well as the well-informed members who still remember when they themselves were "noobs".....:arms:

whenever i go on other sites i put on my armor and carry a big ole stick...

I remember when I was a "noob." Bryan wouldnt leave me alone trying to work Twitter :lmao: But that aside . We will always provide everyone with help to the best of our knowledge and will always encourage members to do the same. No need to be shy here! But glad to hear that we are organized! And thanks for the words!!!

I gave up on other forums. I used to go and look at the themes forum but even that is crazy.

i just read normal on cb and repost the good stuff here.

Thanks C6 for the kind words. You know we were all noobs and it's important to remember were we came from. Just because someone has 10,000 posts doesn't make them any better than someone with 0 posts. Yes we have a great team here but we also have the best members. I often times will just sit back and watch members help each other out. I can count on one hand the times our team has had to step in for flaming or bashing. So really it's you guys that make this site so great. So keep it up and thanks again for the post.

I joined this forum after lurking for a bit of time because it met my criteria. I teach PoliSci and Advanced Econ. I always tell my students that learning does not begin with me nor end with me, that as a community we all learn.

That is what I feel when i'm here. So I am glad others see what I feel.

That's awesome c6! Your right about all the cat fights in all of the other forums. I thought I would jump around yesterday for a look to see what else people were saying and looked like to jr high girls goin at it in every forum. One thing I noticed here was everyone came together to figure out solutions to problems. It was really hectic here, it seemed like everyone was over whelmed at first and then it all seemed to come together. Thanks for pointing out what a great site this is! :fing02:

i saw something on another forum from a site official saying he created mega upload accounts with names from other forums and was thinking about making one named with bbos.......i guess so it looked like it would be this site loading up leaked os's at megaupload.........i bbmed a bbos staff member a screen shot and the website......but with the bbm outage don't know if it showed up

Let's keep setting the example for all, and a personal THANKS to everyone here because he's right since day one I felt at home here not to bash other forums but it's the truth.
