Would you be open to calling your carrier and have them send your service books for you or the other option that was listed on that link would be to register your device with your carrier online the you would have an online source to be able to send your service books.

For me, I can login to my BIS and send them remotely. Hope that clears things up.

Hey no worries!! Whenever I resend my service books, it's always done online through my BIS. In fact, I tried both; online and through my device.

Mike I can still not find this you may want to try getting ahold of jlevy about it i remember that we had to get oprea mini I will keep searching but so far nothing

Not to make light of your situation mgawley....I would have like for you to see the tabbed browsing features. I'm currently looking into the gears functions that are associated with the browser settings.
There has got to be a fix. We have not found it yet IMO.

the only thing I could fine regarding the Telus issue was the following. It will give you the net but of course you won't be able to use the default browser for any downloading needs

Just to add to this, I actually dlded Opera Mini to my desktop, installed via DM, and voila! Back to surfing the net!

Only problem now for me is that the default browser is needed to download anything, but at least surfing the net is up and running.

Ya that sounds about right. But I can't even download App World!! Once again, thanks for all the help everyone!!

Yes this app has not been configured to work with the 5.0 OS

Thanks for everyone's help with my problem, but I have just downgraded back to one of Crackman's hybrids. If anyone figures out how to get 5.0 working on a Telus phone, I may entertain the idea of giving it a try again!!

In my case, the second time was the charm. After following everyone's instructions to the letter...including a BBSAK wipe, mine appears to be working on 5.0.0.140. I have working BBM this time after using the OTA link in this thread...and it did overwrite the existing version and create only one in the applications list.
