I would be interested to know if those who had trouble with BBM on the new 5.0.0.140 os had the old style BBM or had already moved up to the new leaked BBM before the OS upgrade?????

I had already installed the new BBM V5 that was leaked a few days before

I did too but I always wipe before I install, so when i installed the new os I didnt select the 5.0bbm I selected the one that was included with the 5.0.0.140 OS

was that then the same new BBM version as what was leaked?

no the bbm that leaked is not the same as the one on the os

For the enhanced features you are going to have to use the leaked version found in this thread.

There are two programs that people generally use to wipe.

1. JL Commander
2. BBSAK

Both do a great job. I will find the links and post them for you.

Just be sure to use the same cap letters as above. link was dead at all lower case but works just fine if typed exactly as BBCrackman said...

It is working for me so far. That is my next next app to add. I tested the old one a few minutes ago and got a reply...so that's good enough for me.

If you just load the new OS .140 then you will be using the old BBM. So I guess the answer is yes. Just don't load the leaked BBM.

Yeah, it shows that its installed (the old BBM) but I don't have the icon.
