When I first load up 5.0 I can almost get 1 3/4 of day worth of battery without a recharge, but once the OS settles then I get about 14-18 hours of battery life. I am going to try a boot leg battery that is 1600 mAh and see if there is a noticeable difference.

Lou you must be the one of the biggest supporters of the 5.0.0.140. I heard tellus is releasing a 5.0 for the Tour in 2 weeks. That could make Hybrid time possible!

Telus is 9530, so we just need to delete vendor.xml....but that's nice Hopefully they picked the version without reboots

I am all about combating OHD.

Are you running Pandora or Slacker on v8? without the usual 151 issues? If so, I know there are many streaming junkies who would pay for a hit of that juice....

Just FYI, everyone....had like 3 reboots today with the media player....must be some serious bug...but still stubborn and really sticking with it

I find clicking the "Now Playing" option in the menu or in QL will cause a reboot about once every four times.

Clicking on the equivalent option for Pandora does not appear to cause the same issue.

I am sticking with 5.0. I have no boot issues, memory is solid, the few apps I use work, the bluetooth works great, and the radio has been great. The phone runs smooth. I have always particular to BBC's hybrids, but 5.0 runs great for me.

I put 5.0 back on a few days ago and it seems to be running really good. I'm even using a theme instead of the precision zen since not receiving email alerts isn't that big a deal. The phone rings with my chosen mp3 on the sdcard and bbm 5.0 alerts come through without any problem so put me on the 5.0 team I'm ready to play coach.

good tip...i haven't had a reboot in weeks since i stopped doing that. now when i need to get to 'now playing' i just do it through the media app.

I couldn't answer the poll question because my answer is not there. I just upgraded to 5.0 today. I think it is by far the best performing OS to date for the Storm. however I do miss some of my apps. For now I am going to stick with 5.0 and hope that a new leaked version comes out shortly that will address many off the app issues. However, if there is no new leaked version of 5.0 for an extended period of time I may be forced back to .151, or a newer version of 4.7.0.x out of necessity. That being said I truely believe that next to 5.0, .151 is the best update to the v4.7 family of OSes.

i found a pretty annoying bug and I don't know if anyone else experienced this:

I was taking pics and emailing them the moment I took them, and after the 2nd or 3rd pic I get a random reboot. This has happened only on the 5.0 OS if I can remember correctly. I tried this over and over and I have successfully repeated the bug.

I just duplicating this error and found no problems with sending emails right after take a photo. However, what I have found is that when I zoom in using the camera and take a shot, I get a screen full of crazy weird lines. It only happens when I zoom in so I guess I won't be zooming in lol

Hey bb the problem with 3rd party apps is they are not yet compatible with 5.0. As you know that leak was never intended to see the light of day and until RIM releases an official 5.0 some apps will not work properly. So it may be some time for developers to catch up so to speak.
