Thread: How many people are sticking with 5.0 OS?

I would of loved to stay with it even I use Facebook regularly. My biggest concern was with launching web based sites and it went to the home page first. The other issue was in the browser the text ran off the page and was not aligned correctly where there were words on top of words. Went back to the hybrid.

As a beta tester (was a temp at Intel, hoping to go back in couple of months), I love this new leak OS. Yes some of my apps, do not work but I found some workarounds. Wish I could beta test for RIM.
As one of my daughters favortie TV shows would say, LOVE IT!

I'm feelin the beta OS. My jury is still out on whether to go back to 151. There are a few bugs with the leaked OS, however it is very responsive. I'm going to hope that BBC or OOAK cook up something special.

The OS seems fast, but it doesn't function properly with the BBOS2 theme and not enough of the apps work. Most importantly App World doesn't work. It lasted about 30 minutes on my storm before I had to downgrade. I'll wait for the next leak.:no:

I do love 5.0. but the hidden message icon thing was driving me nuts so i did downgrade. Cant wait for my leaks of 5.0 os software so we can some hybirds going

Google maps seemed to work fine. Of course there is always BB Maps which also worked. Beyond that I have not tried any others.

I stay with it until a hybrid comes out.

GPSLogger is working with the leaked 5.0 OS.

My GoogleMaps, its thinks it in a pearl series phone. Does you work prior to 5.0?

Sticking w/.151....seems like too many issues with 5.0....

Straight .151 OS has been as close to "gold" on my phone as any I've tried, and I've pretty much tried all leaks and hybrids....

For me not to even try a leak tells me I'm finally happy with my Storm!

Good luck to those that have gone to 5.0 and love it! I'm sure another 5.0 release will be along that will eventually cause me to load it up.

Yep, that was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I can live without Facebook and the others. But this is a business phone. Need my calendar :17:

I think we need another choice, I don't love it but I like it more than 151. I don't use the social networking apps, and I love the speed. Found a workaround for my stuck msg indicators and all is well. Hell, I livd through .65 and this is nowhere near as bad as that fiasco of an OS. Any my themes work perfectly on this build, no need to ad hoc them together.

Yep, .151 and BBC's 7.1.4, It is the smoothest OS for me yet. If i can't have my apps then I don't need the BB. 5.0 was a nice looking OS but it has a long way to go before I can commit to it.

One other big problem I had with 5.0 was with the BB Browser. I keep some of my purchased software local and some I just redownload from the purchase site.

When I had 5.0 loaded and went to the download site, it would not allow me to select any of the items. Thought I was going to bust my screen but it didn't matter how hard I 'pushed' on the screen, it wouldn't allow me to select anything.

Some might ask why I wasn't using another browser (Opera Mini). BB was the only one I had installed at that time and I wasn't sure if OM would even work with 5.0.

downgraded back down to BBC 151 hybrid. To many bugs with the 5.0 OS. Screen freezes and the fact that you can't shrink it really bothers me. I'll wait till BBC make a hybrid for this OS. From the past experience using his hybrid. I know it will be amazing.
