Ok... So I've had 4 reboots today. Up to this point this OS was rockin'! Not sure what was causing it. Apps installed were BBM5, BerryWeather, Google Maps, Google Sync, OperaMini, Poynt, QuickLaunch, StormLock, Slacker, and SocialScope. Each time I was using Slacker and had SS set to auto update. All were working fine.

I REFUSE TO GET RID OF THIS OS!!!! So I uninstalled Google Maps, OperaMini, Slacker, and SocialScope. Because I was having withdrawls... I know... I installed UberTwitter and Pandora. Unfortunately I've had another reboot.

For those running 5.0, do any of the apps above jump out at you as a problem? Did I mention... I REFUSE TO GET RID OF THIS OS!!!

I wonder how many of the 75 that are "yes I love it" still are using it?

I really do wish I could send you all the magic that my Storm seems to have. It still has never had a reboot, except for when I install or uninstall an app and it asks for one...never a "random" (knock on wood or anything else that wards of evil reboot spirits).

I didn't upgrade my sig before this post but have since added Blip, Uninstalled BerryWeather and traded for MyCast Weather, Yippidu, Neoreader and MyVerizon to the list. Took off Vlingo as it was having trouble connecting to their server (uninstall 5.0.140 and installed V8 and had the same problem, so it must be my location that is bad).

So I am still Mr. Lucky when it comes to all things with this particular Storm!!!

But I do wonder if we ran a new poll (polling those 75 votes), how many are still hanging in there with us die hards?

I am still hanging in there but I do a get a random reboot or two when I multitask. But I can deal with that as the OS is a huge upgrade to anything in the 4.7.XXX range.

I d/l 5.0 this past Thursday, have experienced one random reboot, other than that the OS has performed well. I am maintaining approx 46MB of memory since I d/l. Love the tab browsing. Not very excited about losing Quick Pull but hope there is a fix for that soon. Pandora as well as my other 3rd party seems seem to perform even better. 5.0 is awesome.

    Wirelessly posted (STORM 9530)

What's all this talk of people still hanging onto 5.0? Didn't even know there was another os besides my beloved 5.0.

Still going great here, had a couple reboots. Deleted opera mini as tough as it was cause I loved that browser, became more diligent in deleting cache & memory cleaning on native browser. Now I've had maybe one or two reboots in last 2-3 weeks. I can def live with that.

I think the problem with this leak is the multi task as levy said.

Now here's a question for everyone who has stayed with 5.0 os. I know lou and olta shrunk theirs, but I was just wondering did anyone else shrink? Or is it a clean install?

I did not shrink mine and I have been running steady at around 46MB of memory.. I d/l 5.0 about 4 days ago and have only had one 'random' reboot which was 2 nights ago... Aside from that this OS has permed brilliantly... :1244::1244:

I've played around with the 5.0. I ran it clean and shrunk it. I like it better clean. I am running about 12 apps and i only had a reboot when I was using the ghost typing while on facebook(using the browser). Other than that i am sticking with this one.

Been running 5.0 since Dr. Lou slipped something into my Kool Aid about 10 days ago.

I don't shrink, really don't believe in that philosophy but that is just me. There are some quirks, but this is by far the best OS I have used IMO. Running a ton of apps and memory is rock solid. As I stated before, I do get a random reboot here and there but mainly when I am using 5 apps at the same time.

I'd stay with 5.0 if I could get the alerts to work when the email and SMS/MMS notifications come through while running a theme. That was really the deal breaker for me. There haven't been any fixes for that yet have there?
