    Question Edit Permissions?

    Hello all,

I cannot set my permissions to "Allow". It stays on "Custom" for the "Interactions" menu. I can get the other two "Connections" and "User Data" to set to "Allow" permissions, but not "Interactions". Thus, my Beyond 160 and Quickpull will not work.

Any thoughts? Is anyone else having this problem?

Try uninstalling. Then when you reinstall, before you click download, check the box for set permissions and see if that does anything. Although, quickpull doesn't play nice with 5.0 os.

Try setting the "Phone" to allow on all, save and exit. Then go back and set it on your app. Not sure if it will work but its worth a try...

    Thanks Olta. Trying now.

The new "today" option in the plain theme that came with the Storm is a nice option too

I deleted Beyond 160. Reset the Phone then reinstalled and it is still on "Deny" for "Interactions".

I will try your suggestion bbcrackman...Thank you

I believe quickpull is a no go for the 5.0. Hopefully a hybrid will come along and fix this problem.

ive only tried this on OS 5.0.140....so dont know if its good for 4.7 or not but....

    go into settings > applications
select which app you want, change the permissions to allow, save, exit to app screen.

BB button, go to set default permissions, change all to allow.

this keeps it from reverting to whatever the original default was

That seems to be more like an IT policy issue or firewall enabled issue, but if you're already on .151

Yah I went back. Too many bugs and issues of 5.0 for me. It was nice to see the future of the OS though.

Thats odd, as ealvnv said this seems more like an IT policy that has been set on the device. The reason I asked was, I am on BES and have the same locked access as you do. Might have to look into this a little further.

Very interesting bbcrackman. I was on a BES, but I changed jobs 3 weeks ago and have been off their BES since. In other words I am not "Activated". The only thing I can think of is I must of locked it when setting permissions. I have changed my OS at least 20 times with your hybrids and straight leaks and never had this issue.

It kept me from using Beyond 160 and several other apps because off the "Deny" locked permission. It sucks because other people reported no problems.

Just a thought, you can try to remove th IT policy via CrackUtil there is another workaround that I will try to find out for you.
