I went through that guide. It won't work for me because after clicking app loader, i sit and wait for my phone to reset, but the device never shows up to chose.

And tell what process you go through.
Do you start dm first then plug in phone... Etc

I have tried starting DM first, and then plugging my phone in. I have also had it plugged in while opening DM. Neither seem to make it work.

Do you think I hould try BBsak or something and then maybe the DM would work? I'm scared to death to do that however...if BBSAK worked and then DM still didn't work, I'd have a useless phone.

Hi caminator. Just read this thread from page one and have some ideas for you. First off let me ask you what OS you are running on your computer? This will help me to know what instructions to give you.

Also, BlackBerry has a fairly good guide to troubleshoot USB problems. Give it a read and see if anything in it solves your issue.

Umm...all sorts of issues. I don't see anything that has to do with Blackberry OR RIM in my computers Device Manager.

umm...after my reformat I am having a hard time getting the USB drivers installed. So my USB on the computer isn't working correctly...on my phone it works perfectly however. I guess I should have mentioned that before, but I didn't even think it would have a correlation with each other.

I don't have a dongle. The bluetooth is built into the laptop.

Ok so you are saying you have another device that works with DM just fine? Just not the other device?

I did, but I stopped near the beginning because I don't have anything in my device manager that shows RIM or Blackberry. In that guide it looks there is supposed to be something. I don't have anything.

My bad...I didn't mean to say USB. I meant to say Bluetooth. My USB seems to be working great with other USB devices I have. It's my bluetooth I'm having a hard time installing drivers for, but I don't suspect this is causing my problem.
