BBM 5.0 disscusion thread

newest compaint.. another twitter asks where did the bbm icon go?? does it just up and hide away.. any good fix??

That seems to be a common complaint on some devices. I don't have an 8330 to tear down and put back to figure this out but I will try to get ahold of one to see what is the major problem.

i dont think you can... the only way i can see a pic is if i have the bbm contact linked to a contact that has a pic assigned or has facebook (in which their facebook picture shows up)

I, too, am having the same issue. I upgraded to the newest version and the icon went missing. I then uninstalled and re-installed following the instructions on the "How To Install......" thread for this newest version. Now it tells me that it cannot install! What the heck is going on?! How are some able to get this to work on their 8330?

hey man i cant get it on Bold OS 5.0.0.100. must be going wrong somewhere Icon is gone. Like BBmaps.

hey just a shot in the dark.. for those who lost their bbm's icon if u r still running default themes look in the instant messanger or community folder it seemd to have gone back into default when reinput - post if that is what is happening so far 1 got a reply and thats what happened

fwd it to your bbm email.. if u r worried.. lol its ok.. as long as u got it u shud be fine.. i got it only pc also..

NOTE: Make sure u have the setting under "Contact List" (in options) "Auto Contact List Backup" set to: Disabled!!!! it will make a backup each time u edit ur bbm settings and contacts stuff!!!
it mite make ur mem disappear or battery life go down
