Let me look around...as there were some more people that had same issue...and if anyone figured out a fix...

UPDATE: Looks like you would have to update your phone first....people put .138 on their pearls and then loaded the bbm and got it successfully working

Can't help but wonder whether or not your issue is related to too low of OS version.

How can I get 0.138 on my pearl? I looked for an update using DM but it said no updates. Ideas?

When you open the configuration screen through the apploader, Are you for certain you selected the .alx file by itself and not the .alx file you pasted into the folder?

Run the Loader.exe
MyComputer>>C Drive

>Program Files>>Common Files>>Research In Motion>>AppLoader>>Be sure to delete the Vendor file listed at the bottom. Then run the Loader.exe. Once started, you should find the configuration screen again. Add the .alx file that is by itself and not the one pasted in the folder.

Now is just says "no additional applications designed for your device were found."

in order to work on the pearl you need to be running os 4.5.0.138 and up...

I'm leaning towards a sub-standard OS for you device. Your OS may be to low to recognize to newer files of the BBM 5.0 files. I'll see if I can locate a newer version of your OS to upgrade to.
