Ok here is something Ive noticed with the avatars, not sure if this has been posted, but I havent read all the posts yet. Some of my address book avatars loaded just fine, but others didnt. What I have found, is that if you added the people to BBM through your contacts list, IE had their pin info in the contacts list, and added that way, the avatars pull automatically when you check the box in BBM options "sync with contact list". If you added by typing their pin straight into BBM, the avatars arent loading, even if you have the sync box checked. To get around this, select edit their contact info within BBM. click on the avatar, and you will get a message saying the contact is not associated with your contact list, and it will let you select them. After you do this, bingo avatar appears. Hope this helps who ever is having avatar issues.

will this work with an 8820 running 4.5.0.161? Cause the closest thing to 4.5 is the curve 83xx series on the OTA link.

should work since they have the same screen resolution, but is not confirmed to be working yet....

FYI if your on an 8330, we see issues with FW .77 and lower. Try .138

tried the ota for curve 4.5.0.77, where can I find the .138. Will this work ok with Verizon?

quick question...my girl got the 8900...the ota does not work for her...doing the application loader does not work...and there is no apploader for her...there is no os installed on the pc...should i install the os on the pc, then try it through apploader.exe??

You can get it from the link below.

Once downloaded and installed on your pc go to C:/Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/Apploader and delete the vendor.xml file and it will work on your device. Then in the same folder double click Loader.exe (looks like a phone) and follow the on screen instructions to install the OS.

some people say the ota for the tour 9630 it works on the 8900, im just downloading right now to my 8900 will post back
