Downloaded the for 4.5 83xx file.

Thanks for all you guys for trying to help. My head feels like it's exploding.
Ok and it shows the new bbm in your application list on the phone? options>advanced>applications

And you have checked all your folders (hidden and showing) for the icon

I think you will be Okay if you are not seeing any issues.
I haven't had any issues but it's just annoying because I have to manually delete the email on my personal exchange account. I know we don't see it on my BB's cuz of the way it's set up but it doesn't delete it on my exchange server either. :17:

From home screen, hold BB key so task manager shows up....does it show bb messenger in that list? I do have an icon, but I am also using a custom theme...I wonder if those are somehow tied together...

    I tried both ways,

using Desktop Manager 5.0 & application load

    - did not work -

so I uninstalled via my Blackberry

    tried again using Apploader

    NO LUCK

This may be a pain but need you to try something. Reinstall your OS to your pc, it eill ask you to repair modify or remove, choose repair. Now, go to C:/Program files/common files/research in motion/ apploader, delete the vendor.xml file and intialize Loader.exe. (Looks like a phone) it should tell you to downgrade blackberry messenger, you want to do that. And update. Once it is done updating go to your new BBM files and rt click and copy all. Now go to C:/Program Files/ Common Files/Research In Motion/Shared/Loader Files and open the OS, open Java now rt click and paste, yes to over write. Now back up two levels to Apploader and run Loader.exe again, now it will want to upgrade your BBM, next and let it update. You don't need the ALX for this method. This is an alternative and worked on mine.
