filelock . . . will try bbfilescout this weekend. errors and lock up with this current ver. of filelock
I know this is an relatively old thread.....but I just found this and didn't see this mentioned in the thread.
If you use BBFileScout:
1. Browse to the file you want to hide.
2. Highlight file, BB Menu Button.
3. Select Details (Filename)
4. A window will pop-up and you will see a box next to "is hidden"
5. Check that box and now the file will not show up in the media app.
There is another way to hide photos on the Storm in addition to what Bryan posted...Go to Media -> Pictures -> Picture Folders then hit BB Button and select "New Folder". Name your new folder whatever "Hidden Pix" for example, then click "ok". Now just move all the pictures you want to Hide into that new folder. Now hit BB button again and select "Options". Under the first section called "Pictures" hit the "Exclude Folders" button. In that pop up screen place an "X" in the box beside the folder you want to hide and voila that folder is hidden. In order to view those hidden pix, just hit BB button -> Options -> Exclude Folders -> and take the "X" out.
This method will not work for videos though.
Found a program that can lock out your media card or any apps or virtually anything on your blackberry....so far have only used the free version...I guess it eventually expires but i've been using it for days now. I found it on the crackberry store it' called Safebox. Works good...only thing is as far as pics if you are looking at a pic and then put it down, if someone tries to start it up again you can see the pic for a brief sec before it locks again, but not a big deal....
