Please keep in mind this is my first ever bb. I read somewhere that you hold down the mute button for a few seconds. This never works for my storm. Is there another way or am I doing something wrong?
Also if the phone is in sleep mode will you still get your messages and phone calls?

Duk.... I just looked this up. A case with a magnet puts ur phone in standby mode, your radio is still on and u will still get message. The power button like jason mentioned turns off the radio. I also read that storm does really have a sleep mode like other bbs...

Having a case that puts your phone to sleep is a good thing.
It will drastically increase your battery life.
My phone still rings and chimes when calls and emails come in.
I use an otterbox and its great for my battery

This is the case that should be arriving today. Its out for delivery. I cant wait. I like the pouch to that just slides in your pocket. I never use a holster case, I thought I would give it a try, if not that pouch thats above looks like a solid choice.
