    Random reboots

I typically have a meeting in a certain location everyday day. After about 15 minutes at this one place my BB starts to reboot. This happens every time I am there. I initially thought it was just a coincidence, but it happens almost every time, each day.
What would cause something like that?
I know there is wireless internet there, but that can't it the problem.
    Any thoughts?

My first thought would be hardware. However why don't you try installing another OS and see if the problem persists. If it does I would get ur phone replaced.

is it an app error (white screen with small letters) or does your phone just go blank and boot up from the dark screen and red LED?

What would be your thoughts if it was the latter?

well if it were the white screen then i'd think the calendar app were corrupt, simple OS wipe or downgrade/upgrade fixes that.

if it's the latter, could be hardware, could be app memory running low and phone crashing, could be a corrupt database...hard to say.

for the latter, to rule out software stuff you can to the "restore to default" fix i told people about on CB....

    backup

wipe handheld through securith>general security>bb button> wipe handheld, then restore>advanced>restore ONLY contacts/calendar/BBM...nothing else. change settings manually.

The thing is, it only happens in this one building in Sarasota.
It doesn't do it anywhere else.

Then try this suggestion from Patches:

    backup first

wipe handheld through securith>general security>bb button> wipe handheld, then restore>advanced>restore ONLY contacts/calendar/BBM...nothing else. change settings manually.

Are you using the SFI from 148 or did you change that?

OK, I took your suggestion, wiped and only synced the address book and calendar.
Then manually adjusted all my settings. Bit of a pain.
The memory increased by 2 mgs.
Thank you patches and Jlevy for your help. I will let you guys know if the rebooting stops.

if you keep getting reboots then its an app in the OS that is fubar'd, you'll have to re-load the OS.

you're not on a hybrid or shrink, are you?
