    Wi Fi for Storm??

Now that Apple has announced they will have an OS update to be released this summer that allows MMS and SMS , along with cut and paste, do you think Verizon will allow RIM to ever produce a phone that has WiFi capabilities? Or will that cut into Verizons\'s air time charges.
It would be nice to have where WiFi is available.
It also would help Verizon from losing any more client base to AT&T.

I would love for Verizon to enable their blackberries to have WiFi. BUT you know verizon, if that were to happen they would charge you to use it. They will find a way to sucker their customers out of more money.

I got you all beat. This morning my phone was suspended. I called them and was asking why, I paid my bill. They said I did not pay the full amount, I still had .37 cents I did not pay which is why my phone was suspended. They asked me if I wanted to pay that by check or credit card. I start laughing. THEN they charged me an re-activation fee!! FOR 37 CENTS!!!

It seems like if anything, Verizon has nothing to lose by allowing RIM to make them a WiFi enabled device, since they enforce a data plan on all PDAs anyways; and most of the Windows Mobile PDAs have WiFi, and they have to have the same data plan we BB users do. Maybe someday, if enough people ask for it... We can only hope (although I will admit for the size of the files one downloads on a Storm, WiFi would be overkill for most tasks - in a way, I might take battery life over WiFi)
