Thread: Announce Incoming Calls

Is there a way to have the phone announce incoming callers? My old Moto razr did this a long time ago, and was trying to figure out if the Storm can too? If not, are there any 3rd party programs that do?

i did some looking and didnt come up with anything, this isnt an available feature on the storm and i dont believe there is an app for that as of yet...

This may not be the easiest way to do it but it is possible, I use the free version of YouMail get my messages and they always send an email with the message attached as an mp3 file, so i either call myself with what i want or have had a friend call me and leave what they want my phone to say when they call, i get the YouMail email open it, listen to it then i can download it save it and save it as a ringtone. Like anything else it gets easier the more you do it.

As far as I know as well, there is no option to announce incoming calls unfortunately. Not yet, at least...I don't know if it's something that RIM may address in the future.
