Have you asked the carrier about Os upgrades or our you in a similar situation to us in South Africa where the carrier only sells the handsets that are functional? Beyond that we are on our own.
I spoke to Vodafone Malta today and they said they have a new software available to them from BB but they don't know exactly when it will be released to the public.

My only solution seems to be a sim unlock. That way I should be able to install any OS and not get the Invalid Sim Error. Vodafone Malta will unlock it for €70!!! A high price to pay for an unlock code considering they charge €99 for the device on a €50/month contract

    Debranding Anyone?

Does anyone know how to "de-brand" a Storm?

I just know I am pushing my luck here given the countless time I have installed hybrids, apps and OSs, deleted vendor files, swapped radios, shrunk, ect. ect.

If anyone would know it would be this merry band of Blackberry geniuses!
