Does anyone know how to "de-brand" a Storm?

I just know I am pushing my luck here given the countless time I have installed hybrids, apps and OSs, deleted vendor files, swapped radios, shrunk, ect. ect.

If anyone would know it would be this merry band of Blackberry geniuses!

i know how to debrand a storm the litle big problem is that you need to get all the software needed to do so...

Glad to talk about it again. I think that screen shot (wallpaper) has to be downloaded to your device. You can get the wallpaper OTA at StormGrounds.com. Here's a link that should bring you right to it. If it doesen't select Top Wallpapers heading and you should be able to find it from there.

Original Storm Blackberry Storm Wallpaper | BlackBerry Storm Wallpaper

Once you enter your email address in the bar you will get a message with the attachment of that wallpaper. Open the message then highlight the attachment. Now select your menu(Blackberry)button and choose open attachment. The picture should open on your device. First save the image then select as your wallpaper. Now you have the same image you see whem your viewing that theme selection in your options screen.

Yup, the present leaked MFI multiloader does not work on the 9500/9530. If it did it would be a matter of replacing the VSM file that contains the branded wallpaper and splash screens (*.png files) - MFI won't unlock your storm either I am afraid, however there are plentyof places on the net were there are nice people that will calculate your unlocking code for free.

I got my second Storm unlocked at the beginning of the week this way. The other good thing is you don't have to remotely use someones unlocking dongle any more via USB over Net (all a bit too fiddly for me!)
