Thread: Working/NON working THEMES with 95xx .151 and hybrids w/.151

wow yer on here 24/7 huh? I like FRESH theme too but whats unique about pre storm works well with pictures on the background. Be Berry is nice but i don't like when in landscape it has those stones. it doesn't work well with other backgrounds on home screen. i REALLY wished E Cruz would re-do HTC1 THEME but when i spoke with him, he said he prob wouldn't update any of his themes. he's busy with other themes for bold n stuff. i really liked his win 7 theme too cuz i am a super quick launch user.

So someone told me that if you use "Shrink an OS" and you "removed default fonts" that almost any theme will work with .151? Can anyone confirm this? I would but i am stuck at work for another couple hours

I haven't tried this, but I know that the fix for theme developers has something to do with the font, so it would make sense....let's see if anyone else can either confirm or deny this

i am going to try it right now.

i actually got it to update the font without reloading the entire OS.

because before it was saying no action needed.

But right after installed an updated program on my storm.

Then i connected my phone to the computer and ran app loader. and it wanted to install the older program so i checked "don't install"

So then i ran app loader and it uninstalled the updated program but it also said it was removing the font.

I understand that theme developers have to implement the fix. I don't know why all of them don't

Yeah i know. i was just crossing my fingers for this to work. I love ECruz's themes but he doesn't want to update them. I tried to explain it was fairly simple but he still didn't want to. ( That post from awwwyeah posted that on one of ECruz's themes.

I just tried 2 of his themes. gonna try a couple more though. lol. i guess i'ma dreamer.

i am soooooooo disappointed. i couldn't get the default font back on my phone so i uninstalled>wipe>reinstalled

And everything went fine by my Pre-Storm didn't back up even though it said it did. so i went to go re-download it and freakin palm sent 2bbc a cease and desist letter. so now i cant get the theme back. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

have you tried doing 3rd party app back ups lately? even when you do that manually, it doesn't back up all the 3rd party apps. i am not sure why.

If you just did a recent back up (before todays), then DM only looks for updated apps. What you need to do is send to .zip all your previous back ups, then delete the original (not zips). Once you do that, empty recycle bin and then run the back up process again. It's pain in the xxx but no way around it....that darn RIM

One quick update. I contacted Tony today at Cocky Culture about the Leather profesional theme and he promptly pushed an update out this evening that is now working with 151. Great turnaround in my opinion! This is a sweet looking theme... may want to check it out.

i noticed that crystal clear still was in the nonworking side...........it has been working on my storm with v7.1.4
