Thread: Battery Issues with Offical 148.

Some reason, the battery drains really bad with the new OS. The OS itselfs works fine, but what's the point of fixing the Os, when the you won't have time to use it. I also noticed that the battery gets really hot when using, and charging it. Never really did that before. Is Anyone else experiencing this? Or any solutions? Could it just be the battery itself?

Of course every unit is different in some way but after doing your 3 60second battery pulls, give it a few days first. My battery was really bad too but out of the blue about 3? days after it just miraculously decreased in drainage percentage. As for the heat, sometimes mine is, especially if it's charging in the cradle in my car.

Try letting your battery drain completely and then give it good 7 hours charge. See if it helps. Storm is a powerful device and I think the battery is just not enough. Most of time I have to charge mine midday.

Mike is correct. Battery life can be pretty bad the first couple of days after a new install. 99% of the time it straightens itself out within 3 days or so. Give it a few days and then see if the battery life increases.

If you are running apps in the background that's might be one reason, also turn off the gps, do not use vibe and ring for tones, set you backlight to the lower possible, avoid the flash liht, and make sure let the batt fully drain and then recharge

I was thinking the same thing too, but then I remembered I enabled GPS when I was finding a restaurant this weekend. Turned it off and its been fine.

Straight 148 has been the only hybrid OS that completely drained my battery during the 8-5 workday. Last night I used swap a radio with 132 and today it has been fine, it was still at 70% as of 6 P.M.
