Thread: Call Logs question

I have had my Storm since March and the one thing that bugs the s*** out of me is that there is not a way to view only missed calls and they show up in messages and sms, should I delete sms in the apps to get rid of this. I drive myself crazy clearing the messages icons. This is probably the most annoying thing about my storm. I really have been very happy with it using BBC's hybrids! Any suggestions?:headache:

if you go into the call log>bb button>options>call logging and set it to none it doesnt show up in messages no more

Thanks Laney and olta777, I have learned a lot since March and this site has been a great resource!!! I activated the storm on Alltel which as of Sunday in my area is now totally VZW. It was great on Alltel, we'll see about VZW, I have heard so many complaints, I don't know what to expect. Luckily, I think I have only called tech support on Alltel about 3 times in 10 years! I was originally a CellOne customer which was bought out by Alltel, and now VZW, there have always been issues when the final conversion happens!

Crikee I have been with Verizon for years and I would never switch. They have some of best (if not best) customer service I have seen. I have never had an issue go unresolved with them. It might take a call to a manager but what doesn't these days.

I agree, I've had Verizon for about 10 years and haven't had a problem that they didn't fix. For the 1 year that I had Cingular I had constant problems with customer service. I ended up buying out my contract to switch over to Verizon.

I had AT&T for one year and that's all it took for me to go running to Big Red lol

Bryan, when I call VZW, will they ask me what version software I am running? Has anyone had any problems getting tech support with the hybrid software? Do I tell them I am running the official OS. I am thinking that with the conversion in my area, I may need to change some of the info in the programming mode, but I know they need to change it on their end as well.

If they ask then tell them you are running .148. Though I have never had them ask me what OS I was running and I have called them many times for different hardware issues.

I agree with BB on .148 as well as I have never had them ask what Version I am running? Just called tonight to order my 3rd Storm and they didn't even ask.

Great, going to get hubby's phone as we speak. I will let you know what I find out. There might be a few other Alltel to VZW owners like me who are having issues.

they asked me to read the version and platform number when i called a couple weeks ago... good thing i looked up the info and had it ready just in case

wait, i forgot the version and platform for v6 is the same as the official so you are good

Well it was until I used swap a radio to .132 last night to see if that cleared up my issues .132 worked great for me.
