Has anyone noticed this little quicki on you music player?

Well last night I was editing my music and listening to it.

Well at one point I hovered my finger over a song and while I did that I seen like a gray bar flowing across the song.

It was like a loading bar. Well I held it for a second then all of a sudden the Genre popped up with all the songs in that Genre.

I thought that was neat. So I was wondering if any one else noticed that?

i dont use the music player so i for one havent noticed anything :p

Great find, never noticed that before. Now that will save me fast forwarding through stuff when I only wanna hear certain types of music while at work!

I knew it did that for artist but not for genre. It will also do the same for messages to.

Yes, good find randy. I wasn't aware of this either. Thanks for sharing this with the community. It's much like holding your finger on an email to bring up all messages from the sender.

the same type of thing happens if you hover over a text message. It will search who ever sent you the text message and find all messages to and from them.

Yuppers. Depending on which view you're using and info displayed determines what you can sort by. Another little workaround I'm using is putting a show date in genre field which is helpfull if you have multiple shows from same venue and want to see the date displayed either when browsing or just listening.

yea i stay listenin to music.. i use that to short cut to artist or wut not.. saves time in stead of typin :)

Welcome every one

After playing with this for a few minutes I found that if you hold your finger over the left side of the screen it will search artists and if you hover over the right side it will search genres.

i had noticed both of those before but didn't realize it depended on where your finger was. good find!
