Thread: 4.7 Core Applications Update Available?

While doing a regular backup tonight with DM, I was prompted that a Blackberry 4.7 Core Applications Update was Avail. I am running the leaked 4.7.0.148 OS. I clicked [cancel] not knowing what gives. I've never been prompted before.

My DM is still showing .75 as there current.

No worries, just go to C:/Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/Shared/Loader Files and rename the OS. I just put an "A" at the end of the file. And you wont be promted again.

I have read somewhere that it's a bug in DM prompting for upgrades when there are none.

I didn't know any better and did the upgrade, is it going to messup my phone?How do I undo it?

No the upgrade will not mess your device up.

If you have any issues please give us as much information as you can concerning your device and what it may be experiencing.

This just means the perhaps you left something off when you loaded your os originally. Ie language support or a stock game or something.





The core applications are things built within the os and desktop manager has just added them back.





It shouldn't effect anything but if your concerned about losing memory. You could reload the os onto your pc and remover unwanted stuff again or from your device run a program called maxmem. I will add the ota is one minute.

As your on the storm you will need to change the compatibility mode.

Options > advance > applications > select maxmem > bbmenu button > edit compatibilty mode and your good. Go to your downloads ans start removing stuff.



I suggest leaving the TID files as that is your spell check.
