Thread: Shrink an OS Help

Hello everyone:

I am having some issues with Shrink an OS. Everytime I try to run it it give me an "unhandled exception error" I hit continue and it says it is shrinking and it seems to be doing something but it just "spins" as if it shrinking but does that for a VERY LONG time. I am guessing it isn't really shrinking just locking up.

My sad little memory is running at 11% :eek1:

Any suggestions from my merry band of geniuses? :feedback:

What type of pc are you using? XP, Vista or Windows?

if its vista or windows 7 make sure you are running it as an administrator

I will only say this cause..i did it for i dont know 3 days before i figured it out. Did you extract shrink an os from the .rar folder to somewhere on the computer? and do you have netframe 3.5?

Make sure you are doing the following

Extracting Shrink .exe to your desktop
If you are on Vista right click icon and choose run as admin
Make sure you have net framework .exe installed on your PC (you can get it from Microsoft update page)

Give those a shot and let us know

I ran it from the .rar folder and I do not know if I have netframe 3.5 :dunno:

Run windows update and check optional updates to see if shows net framework and you did need to drag the shrink .exe to your desktop then right click on it and choose run as admin

Excellent once that is downloaded just remember to extract to your desktop and right click on it and choose run as admin.
