Hope it's true. But there have been a lot of false claims of an OS update.

Seems like I've heard this more times than I can remember but....
I'll believe it when I see it...and I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's .148 or even if it turns out to be just another rumor.

It's just 148. I think I will stick with BBC v6.

If it's 148 I will cry. I don't see how they could release it with a known BT bug considering, what, every state requires you to drive hands free now.

It will be interesting to see how many of the hundreds of thousands of users who aren't OC about their BB (those not in the various BB communities) wind up having the BT problem after they upgrade. I can't even imagine what VZW will have to do in response to that. That being said, maybe .148 will be rejected just like .141 was rumored to have been.

You raise an interesting point Toy. If this issue is widespread VZW will have a sihtstorm on their hands.

Yes, to put it mildly. So, if it isn't widespread, maybe they'll bite the bullet and give you a new Storm that actually works with its operating system! I'm guessing a significant number of Storms got built with chipsets that aren't totally up to spec. But I'm just guessing.

Dont want to damper the mood, but from what i heard, there is no 148 offical , i know people in verizon that do OS testing , and have heard nothing , so this is either PS FAKE , or in very eairly network testing. But i could be wrong

They can make anything official they want now. I will never load another OS onto my phone that doesnt say the word BBC infront of it, lol. 148v6 ROCKS, and will stay on phone till he releases something better.

Sooks...never fear, no mood dampening here. This "rumor" is no different from all the ones in the past until it becomes a reality (or not). We expect little to nothing from VZW. Nothing they do (or don't) is any longer a surprise. Many here are already using alternative operating systems and are actually pretty happy with their Storms.

Sooks I hope you are right. Then again I expect nothing from VZW as it seems like the never ending story of here comes the next OS just to have it be a bunch of rumors. We do know that vzw is testing 148 (probably from the same source) but I can't honestly see VZW releasing an official OS with the color banding and other flaws in 148. But then again, what do I know
