Thread: Need help pls to load OS onto 9530

Hi, I'm trying to get an OS onto this phone - I have watched your video "4946-all-one-guide-how-upgrade-your-device-pictures-videos.html#post89051" but when I open the AppLoader folder there is nothing there except a folder called Images which is empty.
I have installed the OS on my desktop PC already. Can anyone help me?

Maybe the OS didn't install properly? Check in Control Panel... Programs.... to see if the OS is installed on your computer.

Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader

Be sure to follow all steps properly.

Joe has pointed you to the correct path C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\

Sometimes, one would not find the folders in the Program Files because they have a 64 bit Windows Operating System, which places folders under a different hierarchy.

32 Bit Windows Apploader Location: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\

64 Bit Windows Apploder Location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\


To verify which flavour of Windows you have (32 bit or 64 bit), right click on Computer, then go to properties, then check the System Type as illustrated below, that will tell you the edition of Windows you are using.
